What was the highlight of Mercure Marseille Canebière Vieux-Port
Really lovely and comfortable hotel.
After reading some super negative reviews recently I was apprehensive about our stay. Staff were incredibly helpful, our room was left very clean everyday and overall we were very happy with the location
There is a lot of homelessness on the street the hotel is on, however this is something that can’t be helped. The overall hotel is fantastic.

Excellent location, great staff, would recommend and would visit again!
The hotel is very nice and clean. It is excellently located. The reception staff were very helpful.
The air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to work very well and kept changing temperatures (I’d set it to 18, it would override back to 20). A member of staff did mention that the system was broken, so hopefully a temporary issue! The breakfast area was not kept topped up with coffee, milk, bowls etc and the tables were not cleared - many people had to chase for things to be replenished.

Brilliant stay in a great location
Really great and comfy room, perfect location for the city and port. Not too far to walk to the train station, and had metro and tram links right outside. Aircon was working and brilliant. Super friendly staff.
Occasionally you could smell the drains in the room.

A very good hotel in an excellent location!
The hotel is very well located, close to the port, restaurants, metro, public transport. Was clean and bed was comfortable, good size bedroom, very quiet, good heavy curtains to keep it dark during night time. Good air conditioning.
There wasn’t a single drawer in the room to keep some of our clothes, it would be helpful to have a small chest of drawers for this purpose. I also missed not having a shower cap.
